Principe du minimum et préfaisceaux maximaux
Annales de l'Institut Fourier, Tome 24 (1974) no. 1, pp. 1-121.

The sheaf of hyperharmonic functions, defined in the open sets of R n , satisfies the minimum principle. Moreover it has the property of being maximal among the sheaves of convex cones of lower semicontinuous functions >- satisfying this minimum principle.

More generally, a locally compact space Ω is given, in which different minimum principles are defined. A sheaf of convex cones of lower semi-continuous functions >-, which is maximal with respect to one of these minimum principles, is studied.

It is also shown how some of these maximal sheaves can be characterized by important properties of potential theory.

More special sheaves, as for instance the sheaf of plurihyperharmonic functions on the open sets of C n , are obtained by use of a more accurate minimum principle.
