Le présent travail essaye d'observer au sein du discours des mathématiciens l'acceptation d'un nouveau mode de discours, consacré soit à la conception des objets mathématiques, soit à la mise en place des problèmes mathématiques, les deux bien sûr fortement liées. Puisant son inspiration chez Thomas Kuhn on découvre et interprète des paradigmes dans le discours. L'histoire de la notion d'un espace vectoriel sert comme exemple pour un concept à introduire dans l'analyse du discours : le concept de moratoire.
